Being a catwalk queen does not always mean having good fashion taste, as I’m afraid Cindy Crawford and Jourdan Dunn proved last week.

American supermodel Cindy looked as if she had recycled some old tea towels with this patchwork monstrosity. In fact, the Mira Mikati quilted parka costs a baffling £720.

In London, Jourdan Dunn wore a scraggy, faded, striped tracksuit – actually £360 from Denim Tears.

Her trainers, designed by rap star Kanye West, are Nike Air Yeezy 2 Red Octobers, a snip at £400.

It all calls to mind what Dolly Parton once famously said about how much it costs to look cheap…

Poor Prue Leith has been rapped on the knuckles by officials at London’s exclusive Chelsea Arts Club – for singing its praises!

In a column for The Spectator, the 81-year-old Bake Off judge saluted the ‘suitably eccentric, louche and interesting members’.

She also praised the club’s lovely garden, excellent food and cheap booze.

Now I’m told Prue has been reprimanded for breaking a cardinal rule – talking about the place in public.

I'm praying for the Reverend Richard Coles after his new pal Gemma Collins introduced him to some rather The Only Way Is Essex-like behaviour.

The Radio 4 presenter has struck up a very unlikely friendship with Gemma, and the TOWIE stalwart wasted no time on advising the 60-year-old clergyman on… well, let’s just call it intimate grooming.

And in a shock confession, former Communards star Richard says of the painful waxing suggestion: ‘It was fascinating. I enjoyed it very much, and I like Gemma very much, too.’

Careful, Richard – Gemma will be introducing you to fake tans before you know it.
