The Buffalo Sabres and the Pittsburgh Penguins will co-host the NHL’s second joint pride game at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, November 16th at PPG Paints Arena to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community.

Penguins and Sabres' Pride Game aims to bring the two cities together to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community by sharing stories of tolerance, hope and allies.

Rich Jureller, Vice President of Sabres Community Relations, said: “We are very happy to work with the Penguins again to participate in the second joint pride game between our two teams.” “The inspiration behind this collaboration is to help support the two cities. LGBTQ+ community, and continue to work hard to make hockey a sport that welcomes everyone who wants to participate in our games."

Players of both teams will use rainbow tape to stick their clubs to warm up before the game, and wear commemorative pride warm-up jerseys with Progress Pride Flag and Pride Game epaulettes on the ice. The hockey puck used in the warm-up before the game will also adopt a unique color design.

The Penguins and Sabres will jointly host an online auction that will include autographed Pride jerseys, Pride Tape sticks and nameplates. The auction will start on November 16th and will last until 12:00 noon on November 23rd. To view the pride auction, please visit here.
