NASTY car scratches are never welcome due to their unappealing looks and hefty repair costs.

If you want to fix vehicle scratches without breaking the bank, Gabie Vigneault’s Instagram car hack has appeared to offer a magic solution.

Gabie’s Instagram video begins with her mixing two tablespoons of white vinegar and two tablespoons of coconut oil within a kitchen bowl.

Gabie then walks outside with her bowl containing the two-ingredient mix while carrying a microfiber towel.

Car owners frequently dry their vehicle’s exterior with microfiber towels since the material’s fibers are finer than the average human hair, according to Texas Microfiber.

The more delicate a material is, the lower the likelihood that more scratches will appear.

Gabie dips her microfiber towel into her white vinegar and coconut oil blend and wipes the towel on her vehicle’s scratched portions.

The scratches appear to disappear miraculously — but things aren’t always as they seem.

One Instagram user commented: “This is bs I tried does not work, plus damages your paint due to the vinegar.

“You better off paying someone to wax your car.”

Another Instagram viewer said: “Scratches always come off when you get them wet.

“That’s actually a method I use to know if the scratch is fixable without repainting.

“Any scratch that comes out when wet can get polished out.”

You can test whether or not your vehicle’s scratches are polishable by washing your car with plain water instead of Gabie’s mix.

A water test will help you avoid damaging your car’s paint, leading to higher repair costs.
