CAPE CORAL, Fla. — The City of Cape Coral has opened a hygiene station at Jim Jeffers Park.

The park is located at 2817 SW 3rd Lane and resources are available to residents daily from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

UPDATE: A second hygiene station has opened at Cape Coral Technical College, 360 Santa Barbara Blvd N.

The station includes showers, sinks, laundry drop-off, cooling and charging areas. Residents can visit free of charge and as many times as they need.

City residents are able to drop off dirty laundry and pick up cleaned items the following day. Staff is separating and washing loads so that your items will stay together.

Officials encourage residents to bring towels and toiletries but also have limited supplies on hand. Laundry soap is also available on-site.

The city plans to keep the hygiene station open until running water and power are restored.
