A now viral video shows a woman claiming to work in the hotel industry warning others not to eat the hotel’s continental breakfast.

Since its release late last week, the video has accumulated more than 380,000 views. Brandi Augustus (Brandi Augustus) or @brandiaugustus on TikTok said that she has worked in this industry for nearly 15 years. During those years, she has worked for many brands, but still sees similar patterns.

"If your hotel offers a hot continental breakfast, eggs, waffles and the like," she said in the video, with creepy music playing in the background. "Don't eat that shit."

In the video, Augustus claimed that hotel companies and management "dismissed breakfast". The entire hotel.

She said that all night, she used the same paper towel to wipe the kitchen bowls, silverware and table.

She suggested that those who want to enjoy a continental breakfast at the hotel should stay at the Double Tree Hotel or other hotels with chefs.

"Waffle station," Augustus said. "Check the waffle maker to see if the waffle maker is clean, okay? Because normally, it's not."

She also explained that the waffle batter is not made fresh every day like many people imagine.

"That waffle batter will be reused until it starts to smell like beer," she said. "I learned a lot, and that's why I don't do that anymore."

Many users in the comments claimed that they also worked in hotels and shared similar stories.

"As the night auditor of a very popular hotel, she is telling the truth!!" a user commented. "Stick to pre-packaged food and check the room before you bring your luggage."

Augustus even replied to comments, suggesting that people also check the bed and surrounding area for "small animals".

Others recommended various hotels where they can have breakfast, including embassy suites. Augustus replied that this was the "best breakfast" she had ever eaten in this industry.

Some people commented that these practices definitely violated the regulations. But Augustus explained to Newsweek that at the time of the audit, no one really checked how the breakfast was prepared.

"They passed the health code because the health department did not come during the audit time," she explained. She said that the audit time is between 11 pm and 7 am, and the health department does not even open the door until 8 am.

"No one checks how the breakfast is set," she told Newsweek. "They just check how it works."

Newsweek recently reported on a viral video showing the real situation of some restaurant ice machines. This video posted on TikTok by @jantheman____ shows a moldy commercial ice machine and has been viewed more than 5.5 million times.

"A lot of times people go to restaurants and they get sick, they think it's food poisoning, or their food makes them sick," he said in the video. "Let me tell you, it's possible that their ice made you sick."

In another video, @jantheman____ warns people not to eat ice from the hotel. In TikTok, he walked to a commercial ice machine in a hotel and lifted the front panel to reveal the mold inside. He said people should not use it unless they are cooling bottled drinks.
