ONEIDA — The Madison County Historical Society’s Cottage Lawn Farmers’ Market summer season opens on Tuesday, June 7, and lasts every Tuesday, from 2 to 6 p.m., until Aug. 30, on the grounds of the Madison County Historical Society (MCHS), 435 Main St.
The 13-week long summer market will feature local, seasonal produce, cheese, eggs, herbs, soaps, maple products, honey, poultry, beef, and so much more from a variety of farmers, artisans, independent consultants, and food vendors. Food trucks will also be available on site.
Guided house tours and story telling activities will also be offered.
The Oneida Public Library will provide free activities for kids on the first Tuesdays of every month during the summer market.
The Pomeranians are performing on July 19 from 4 to 6 p.m. MCHS officials say plans are in the works for other live entertainment and themed weeks focusing on wellness, families, and recognizing dedicated service organizations within the community.
The dates of the market are: June 7, 14, 21, 28; July 5, 12, 19, 26; and August 2, 9, 16, 23, 30.

Stone Brothers Farm and Greenhouse, of Canastota: seasonal fruits, vegetables, eggs, honey, and maple syrup
Freedom Farm, of Verona: USDA grass-fed beef, free-range eggs, free-range chicken, seasonal fruits and vegetables, fruit pies, jams and jellies, cookies, and bread
Vernon Farm and Market, of Vernon: organic seasonal fruits and vegetables, banana bread, zucchini bread, wooden signs, candles, and Vernon Farm and Market merchandise
The Farms of ADL, of Kirkville: a charitable organization that partners with Maple Hedge Farms for their seasonal fruits and vegetables and with Mel’s Greenhouses for their potted, hanging plants, and vegetable starter plants
Ray Harosia Honey and Produce, of Taberg: raw honey, cut honeycomb, beeswax, fresh herbs, and seasonal fruits and vegetables
Bob’s Wooden Trivets, of Oneida: handmade wooden trivets and more
Debbie’s Gift World, of Cicero: soft soy wax (sprinkles), warmers, accent shades, and soaks for your self-care needs
Magpie Mercantile, of Oneida: originally designed semi-precious stone and beaded jewelry wrapped with wire
Bart’s Toys Plus, of Barneveld: ornate horseshoe lawn ornamentation
Missy’s Rings and Things, of Rome: handmade gemstone, crystal, blown glass, and leather jewelry
Flora and Fauna Farm, of Oneida: first generation, woman-owned fiber farm specializing in breed-specific wool for fiber artists of every variety. Each week at the market she will be bringing yarn and wool from her flock, vegetables from her garden, comb honey, fresh-cut flowers, and lamb meat.
The Yellow House, of Chittenango: a homestead-based business, specializing in small-batch jams, jellies, fruit pies, baked goods, handmade and upcycled home goods, and decorations
Tug Hill Artisan Roasters, of Lowville: signature roasted coffee beans and coffee brewing accessories
Wooden Moon Studio, of Deansboro: wooden flower art wreaths, mobiles, and ornaments, along with seasonal fresh-cut bouquets, a variety of jams, jellies, tea towels, napkins, and knit baby blankets
Kettle Korn, of Boonville: kettle corn
La Bamba Mtz, of Canastota: serving authentic, freshly made Mexican food includng Tamales, Empanadas, Salsa, and Burritos
New York State Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) checks will be accepted at the market. FMNP consists of two programs: the Women, Infants, and Children Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (WIC FMNP) and the Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP). Those who are eligible for these programs are provided checks to redeem for fresh, local fruits and vegetables at participating farmers’ markets and farm stands.
