CHANDLER, Ariz. – Chandler’s Golden Neighbors program will host an outreach event at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, at the Downtown Public Library, 22 S. Delaware St., Copper Room.
During the free event, City staff from Neighborhood Programs and Chandler Public Library, along with the Salvation Army Chandler Corps, will present a variety of available programs and services offered to senior residents.
Attendees also will have the opportunity to sign up as a participant for the Salvation Army’s new Silver Bell program. This community giving program matches Chandler seniors (age 55 and up) with sponsors to fulfill their Christmas wish lists. A light breakfast will be provided. Interested attendees may RSVP to 480-782-4362. Attendees (one per household) will receive a free goodie bag filled with paper products (toilet paper and paper towels).
